Here’s a great idea for summer entertaining that captures the great taste of our local, fresh strawberries! These pop in your mouth treats will add a special zing to family events or your summer patio entertaining. Follow the simple steps below and have a great summer treat. Just don’t expect us to show you how to stuff a blueberry!
Trim pointed end of strawberry so it will stand, stem-side up.
Use a small melon baller or tiny spoon to remove the stem from the strawberry, creating a ½” deep well.
Using a piping bag or a small spoon, put desired filling into the strawberry. The possibilities include whipping cream, goat cheese, mascarpone, Gorgonzola cheese and crème fraiche.
Top filling with chopped nuts, chocolate sprinkles, coconut. Refrigerate strawberries until ready to serve.
