JD Farms Specialty Turkey Store

J.D. Farms is a family owned turkey farm in the beautiful Fraser Valley at Langley, BC. Jack and Debbie Froese grew up on farms in the Fraser Valley and continued their farming tradition when they purchased their present farm in 1979.
“We certainly aren’t the biggest turkey operation around” said Jack. “But we are very proud of what we do and proud of the quality of our products”.
With the help of their three children, Jack and Debbie grow turkeys for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter seasons. This is truly a family farm operation. Turkeys on J.D. Farms are fed a natural diet of grain, vitamins and minerals without any medications or animal by products. The turkeys are raised in spacious, well-ventilated barns with free access to fresh water and a constant supply of fresh feed.
Jack and Debbie invite you to visit the on farm turkey store, which is open year round seven days a week 9:30 – 6:00. Sample the wide variety of turkey products, including Debbie’s famous homemade fresh and smoked turkey sausages made with fresh, skinless turkey thigh meat and seasoned with her own family’s spice recipes.
“There is no filler in our turkey sausages”, Jack said, “just meat and spices”. “There are no animal by-products in our feeds and no medications used on our turkeys”.
Also available in the store is organic flour, sauces, spice mixes and other items to compliment the turkey products.
J.D. Farms prepares specialty turkey products for healthy lifestyles; their products are prepared to meet the needs of people on restricted diets and they will make changes to meet specific requirements on request. Turkey is an excellent source of protein providing the essential amino acids necessary for the renewal and maintenance of body tissues and providing food energy. Turkey is a good source of niacin, a factor in the maintenance of good health and a good source of phosphorous, a factor in the normal development of bones and teeth.
“Turkey can be eaten year round” said Jack. “You don’t have to wait for Thanksgiving or Christmas, you know”.
