applesOur third AppleFest will focus on the culinary side of apples, and it’s a wonderful way to learn and appreciate it’s many (delicious) uses. Bring your questions, your curiosity and your taste buds and join us in celebrating this fabulous fruit!

 

Please note, the Cooking Demo/Apple Advice session is at 11am only and the Cider Introduction is at 1pm only. All other elements take place from 11am-3pm.

 Cooking Demo with Chef McCunn of Bravo Restaurant & Apple Advice with Brian Minter (11am) This is a ‘tandem presentation at 11am only where Chef McCunn will be showing how to create an insanely delicious (we got to sample one already!) Apple Sabayon, and Brian will be sharing with guests just how easy it is to grow apples in gardens of any size. Bring your questions for both the Chef and the Gardener!

Introduction to FVCC Cider (1pm) & Apple Cider Sips from the Fraser Valley Cider Company Rachel from FVCC will be introducing folks to their hand crafted ciders and the cider making process at 1pm, but she and her teammate will be here from 11am-3pm to sample a few of their delicious creations too! – Heritage Apple Tastings Try a taste of one of 12 varieties of locally grown apples from Annie’s Orchards. Find out what true flavour tastes like! – Hand-Blended Apple Tea Tastings from Aromatica Fine Teas Visit their shop, ask about their huge tea selection and sip some pure fall comfort.

Gourmet du Village Fall Flavour Samples Indoor entertaining (and eating!) is upon us, so Savina from Gourmet Village is coming to introduce some of their best apple themed, easy to make autumn edibles.

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory Caramel Apples, Fresh Baked Apple Goods from The Callicarpa Cafe & Fresh Okanagan Apples will all be available for sale too!
