How to keep bees and make honey!
This course will give you the knowledge to begin keeping bees. It is suitable for anyone interested beginning beekeeping, whether it’s 2 hives in your own back yard, or a 50 hive semi commercial beekeeping operation. The three day course is classroom based, and covers all the biology and management activities you can expect to encounter in a basic beekeeping operation.
Graduates of the course can attend the Revive the Hive, Bee Disease Free and No Freeze Bees one day courses for free.
Price includes the text book “Beekeeping in Western Canada”. Course registration fee is refundable 30 days prior to course.
Time: Fri – Sun, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
Please bring a pen, notebook, your coffee mug, and a lunch with you each day. Alternatively you can enjoy lunch in our Beestro.
Dress in comfortable clothes. No equipment necessary for class.
