April is a busy time in the garden so we’ve dedicated four ‘short and sweet’ sessions to tackle some of the most timely topics for the month. These 20 minute talks will take place in the corresponding departments.

All sessions start at 10am.

Please call 604.792.6612 to register and be sure to bring your questions!

The Dirt on Soil, Sat. April 7

Meet in our covered soil area to learn the importance of soil composition, the difference between certain soil blends, what well-drained soil is, why it’s so important and how you can create it.

Made for the Shade, Sat. April 14

Struggling for sunshine? Join us under the nursery pergola to take a look at the trees and shrubs that are low-maintenance and sure-fire winners for shady spots. Plant once, enjoy for years!

Privacy Please, Sat. April 21

Love your neighbours but don’t need to see quite so much of them? Head to the vine area where we will introduce the best sun and shade plants to create screens for small spaces (and the best containers too).

Tomatoes, Sat. April 28

Pop on over to the tomato tables so that we can  introduce you to some of the newest varieties, the best for container gardens, what they need to thrive and how to prevent, and deal with, common tomato challenges throughout the season.
