This is a day camp where children from 8 – 12 become beekeepers. They learn about the hive body, about the 3 castes of bees in the hive, how important pollination is for our food supply…and much more. They assist in the live hive, harvest honey and make beehive products…Some go on in later years to take up beekeeping as a hobby but all have a much deeper understanding of an important part of nature and the roots of their food supply.
