EAT LOCAL...EAT FRESH
Date(s) - Thu, Oct 13
Lepp Farm Market
Cost: $117 per person
It’s October, so that means it time for a “Halt deine Lederhosen fest” feast! (yes, you heard us right – hang onto your Lederhosen!)
Join Chef Nick and Butcher Jason for this fun and interactive class as they pull out all of the stops to celebrate one of their very favourite holidays – Oktoberfest! You’ll start in the meat room with Butcher Jason as he explains all the ins and outs of pork butchery and sausage making, and faster than you can say Schweinefleisch (that’s pork meat for you non-Germans) he’ll have you getting your hands dirty making your own Bratwurst.
Then you can relax and watch Market Chef Nick as he grills the sausage, makes Spaetzle and Sauerkraut. And we’re so excited to welcome Johannes from Oldhand Coffee to our kitchen as he prepares a selection of his specialty mustards which you may have already enjoyed in their cafe as well as Fieldhouse Brewery. Of course, no German evening would be complete without Apple Streudel, just like Oma used to make. Rumor has it that a local beer meister might even make an appearance!
Ach du Liebe, this is going to be one big FOOD celebration that you don’t want to miss!
