About Andrea:
Founder of Rooted Nutrition, Culinary Nutrition Instructor
Andrea Potter is a Chef and Registered Holistic Nutritionist. She has a background in Culinary Arts, having received her Red Seal, she gained intensive and varied restaurant experience in fine dining, transitioning to whole, plant-based cuisine at Radha Eatery in Vancouver.
To compliment her growing interest in whole-foods, nutrition-based cooking, Andrea studied at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN), where she completed the program as a Registered Holistic Nutritionist. There, she discovered her love of educating and empowering people to bring nutrition into practice in the kitchen through teaching cooking classes, moving from ‘back of house’ in restaurant kitchens to launching her business, Rooted Nutrition in 2009.
In addition to her public cooking classes, she developed and instructs the Holistic Cooking Program at the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition in Vancouver. She participates as a Guest Instructor at Vancouver’s Northwest Culinary Academy and paired with various businesses and community organizations to bring her classes all over the Greater Vancouver Area.
As an educator, she is passionate about supporting health-motivated cooks to make informed healthy choices that start with vibrant, delicious, practical recipes and culinary techniques.
Her work helps people integrate healthy foods into their everyday, transforming personal health, community health and through supporting organic and local food systems- the health of the planet.
